THIS is cool

Visit the above link and see for yourself what this is all about. The give one get one program is available at Amazon.

Because of Elijah's differences, learning can sometimes be a challenge for him. He needs pictures and demonstrations to understand things. He learns a lot from video games, TV programs, and the computer. The problem with having Elijah on the computer is that he has a knack for getting into things he shouldn't. (gets into our files, pushes buttons he shouldn't, etc.....) We have the Fisher Price Easy Link which is great because it keeps kids in one spot and doesn't let them "wander" around the computer. However, the activities are somewhat limited. Jeremy and I are are very seriously considering investing in this laptop for Elijah. The fact that it's a real lap-top (not one of those toy ones) kid-tough, and comes loaded with educational stuff makes it well worth the price. The fact that our out of pocket expense would actually provide a second laptop for another child somewhere in the world makes it doubly worth the price. The give one get one program costs $400, so for that amount of money you get a lap top for yourself and one is sent to a child that needs an education in another country. WIN-WIN. These are not even available to purchase separately in the US, which I think shows this company is really passionate about their mission, not making money.
