Since Bella's birthday is only 2 weeks before Christmas, it has required some creativity to make sure the day stays special and doesn't get overshadowed by all the Christmas decorations and activities. (luckily she hasn't minded at all so far, and even though I give her the option of not putting up the tree until after her birthday, she always wants it up ASAP after turkey day) Last year we spent the day in Leavenworth instead of doing a party. The year before we celebrated in February and had an Alice in Wonderland Very Merry Unbirthday theme. This year since we are going to do a candy Christmas tree, we are going to do a Candy Land theme party. Don't have all the details worked out just yet, but I think it's going to turn out really cute, and she is super excited. How could she be anything but excited though, it's a CANDY party and that girl lives for sugar!
